Review of Mercedes Benz Atlanta R-Class
The family is growing up fast, and you’re in the market for a new car that is capable of not taking child seats, or small skinny kids, but now teens plus their friends - and the Mercedes Benz Atlanta R-Class is a perfect vehicle to consider. It’s more than a basic wagon, and it’s not quite a SUV, but it’s got the space, grace and power that combines the best of all worlds.
It’s not as high as an SUV, but the Atlanta Mercedes Benz R-Class can comfortably fit 6 adults making it great for the family that’s within a couple of years of transitioning from grade school to college. If you’re looking for a car that’s high on fuel efficiency, then the C350 CDI is the vehicle for you. It’s actually one of the best cars in its class for fuel economy making it an ideal car for that large family with a tight budget. Both cars offer a 7-speed transmission and are all-wheel drive vehicles with a permanent locking hub control. Their safety features also compare favorably with both models offering 4-wheel ABS anti-lock brakes and airbags amongst their features. They also measure up side-by-side with the interior features including automatic air conditioning, 2-stage door locks and an aluminum/wood dash. Their radio equipment differs slightly with the C63 having the more high-tech edge of Comand Sirius AM/FM radio whereas the C350 has a Comand AM/FM radio but it is only satellite compatible rather than have the Sirius set-up as standard.
Should you want to include some optional features to customize the comfort of your new vehicle, there are a number of things to choose from including a navigation system, heated rear seats and even a back-up camera. For those who need it, there’s also the possibility of having a adaptive suspension fitted.
Price-wise there’s quite a difference between these two models, with the C350 being offered in the $40,000 price range, and the C63 about double that. If you have a need for the additional power that the C63 has however, it’ll be worth the extra finance. Should budget be more of an issue, you won’t go wrong with the C350, especially with it’s fuel economy reputation.
