Review of the Mercedes Benz Atlanta ML350 SUV
Anyone with a growing family appreciates the comfort and convenience of an SUV, add to that the reliability and style of a Mercedes Benz Atlanta automobile and you’ve got the Mercedes Benz ML350. This is a great car whether you’re car pooling, zipping around with dancing and sports gear (plus kids) to extra curricula activities or off on a weekend of camping - there’s room for everything, and as a 3.5L, 24 valve, 6V vehicle, the technical spec’s not bad either!
So what’s it got going for it externally? Well 17 inch alloy wheels for a start, neutral tinted windshield and front doors (tinted windows otherwise), a black and chrome grill, dual aero-blade wipers and dual power windows are all features that stand out. It’s also a good looking car for anyone who puts an emphasis on appearance!
Inside the SUV you see the family car take shape. Power windows, climate controlled (with air conditioning outlets also in the rear of the vehicle), 8 way adjustable seats, wood and aluminum trim, illuminated vanity windows - and something that’s a little bit different, setting this car apart from many others in its class - an electrostatic dust/pollen filter which is perfect for anyone with allergy issues. Kids will find storage pockets, power outlets for their gizmos, cup holders and even an activity tray in the rear of the car.
There are packages you can add such as high spec heating, choice of premium 1, 2 or 3 (most expensive), and something for driver’s peace of mind if you’re planning to travel long distances with kids, a dual screen DVD system. On top of these, there’s quite a lot of optional features with which you can tailor the ML350 to your own needs, such as heated front seats, DVD navigational system, iPod kit, voice control, trailer hitch, and for drivers who aren’t so confident at driving a large vehicle, a distronic (to alert you how you are to the vehicle in front) and parkatronic (measures the distance between tight spaces) are available!
As with all SUVs, this car loves gas - but you’ll be hard pressed to find an SUV that doesn’t. If it’s an SUV you need, then one of the things you need to consider is the fuel consumption costs because all SUVs are going to be heavy in this area. An additional disadvantage of this particular model is that it doesn’t have a third row for seating, making it only a 5-person car, however if you’re a 4-5 person family, this won’t be an issue.
There are a lot of pluses with this car if it’s the right size for your family. It’s easy to handle, it seats 5 comfortably, it’s got a lot of features that make it very family friendly, including lots of space for all that gear that kids seem to need to pack around with them. The Mercedes Benz Atlanta ML350 does a great job of combining some great features with comfort and style, and is a great choice for anyone in the market for an SUV.
